Created by AAA, Gig is now offering $15 to $25 welcome bonus and $15 to $25 referral credits. Our business model is that city / zip code based ride share clubs with no more than 30 to 60 members each can operate more safely, efficiently and cost-effectively than large Ride Share Enterprises. Looking for the car version of Riders Share? Check out Gig Car Share. The site handles all the details – logistics, payments, insurance, and motorcycle endorsement confirmation – so the entire rental process is a breeze. Riders Share owners are responsible for arranging the meeting, doing the key handover, determining drop-off, making a final inspection, and performing any needed maintenance.

The driver is liable for up to $2,000, and the rest is covered by the insurance policy. Riders Share provides a third-party insurance policy with no risk to motorcycle owners. According to the company, owners are seeing a return of as much as 2,800% in just three years. The income you would make on the site can cover the cost of regular maintenance, registration, insurance, gear, and then some. Riders Share provides owners with the opportunity to cash in on their under-utilized motorcycles, turning a money pit into a cash cow. To qualify for Riders Pass, you must be at least 25 years old and have a FICO score of 700 or higher. You’ll get a 35% discount on rentals, a $25 motorcycle delivery credit, and one free trip cancellation. It costs $24 a month for 12 months, or $264 paid annually. If you think you’ll want to rent motorcycles on a regular basis, get the Riders Pass subscription. Leading up to your rental, Riders Share will send several emails, including one to use for when you go to pick up the motorcycle and another one with a checklist for you to follow. When the owner approves the rental, you’ll get their address and phone number so you can iron out all the details. If you agree to the costs, enter your credit card information. Riders Share will provide a complete list of charges, which includes a daily service fee.

The lower the deductible, the higher the daily cost of the rental. Next, pick how much in deductible you’re willing to pay.

They’ll ask for your phone number, address, and a photo of your driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement. Once you pick a motorcycle, the site will walk you through creating an account. If you have any questions, the platform lets you message the owner before booking the motorcycle. Riders Share will provide a list of available motorcycles with photos and descriptions. Start by picking a city and entering the dates of your rental. For example, flying to Denver and riding the Rocky Mountain National Park, or getting to Sacramento and riding to Lake Tahoe. Riders Share makes it possible to integrate a motorcycle into your next vacation.
